the ignacio guy also seems to make a paper so i feel very competitive. maybe really lucie and anna get in touch with him directly as macek wisely suggests.
Since yesterday my thoughts wander around reenacting the log lady from twin peaks at sksk to become less of a schwätzer of sinnlosigkeiten. i will then translate both: the log and max a bruce. will speak flore and fauna, i will extend the idea of the hybrid towards our green friends and the shrooms.
Yesterdays meeting though was mixed. but we did not meet noemi, we meet the director of mkb (but none of us got her name). the girls all liked the meeting but i was a bit disapointed because we did not talk about collaborating but rather heard a very precise lecture on the colonial and the postcolonial, being patronising etc. We all learned a lot but Mme MKB will not join in on sksk at bbxx. However, she might come and have a look and maybe be part of sksk at stadtgalerie bern. So, after all, not to bad. And here comes the killer: she almost comissioned us to do something in her museum's fancy höfli. We have to stay with these balls (apologies) and develop a stunning stunning and convincing thing for her. but it will be in the future. one or two years from now she gave as a time frame. and it should fit her program. maybe a part of the caravan of needs?

"Der Subkultur Skulpturen Klub befasst sich mit dem Zusammenhang von Kolonialgeschichte und ihrer Auswirkung auf heutige Migrationsbewegungen an der Stadtgrenze. In einem diskursiven Hakenschlag wird auch die Frage gestellt, inwiefern die Charakterzüge der regionalen Gentrifizierungsprozesse an kolonialistische Weltanschauungen erinnern und welche Rolle der Markt/Kunstmarkt darin spielt.

Der SKSK richtet den Blick auf die "indigene Kultur" in verschiedenen Ausstellungsräumen und auch auf kulturellen Manifestationen der lokalen Bevölkerung der Region: So manches, das hier zu sehen ist, mag aus Gegenden hergebracht worden sein, aus denen auch so mancher Lagerbewohner kommt. Im Rahmen des Projekts wird die Allgemeinheit aufgerufen, sich in den Museen und an anderen Orten ein Bild zu machen, an denen die eine Kultur von der anderen konsumiert wird, um dann in der bblackboxx entsprechende Kopien herzustellen und sie schliesslich als Doubles in der Grenzlandschaft zu "renaturieren". Dazu bietet das Performanceduo "collectif inouite" Führungen an."



Projektablauf:

4. – 10. Juli: Bildrecherche zur kolonialisierten Kultur in der Region BS/BL. Unter anderem treffen wir Anna Schmid, Leiterin Museum der Kulturen, Christian Ragni (Galerie Hilt).

11.-17. Juli: Kopieren mit Hammer, Axt, Kettensäge, Kleber. Workshops täglich nach Ansage.

18.-24. Juli: Renaturierung der Skulpturen im Grenzgebiet & Führungen mit collectif inouite. Rundgänge täglich nach Ansage.

Kettensägenhandhabungs Kurs macht mir sehr angst :

Clübli made another hilaroius Project at bblackboxx:
They copied tribal art from the beyeler museum and installed it along the Vita Parcours.
Then we offered guided exercise tours there.
